Tech Skills in Tech Club
The Tech Patrol is learning many new skills. They are becoming familiar with our computer equipment in the Tech Connect . When needed they will help out with minor troubleshooting issues in the classroom. In the first three weeks of Tech Club, we have taken a keyboard and a mouse apart, made sure everyone knew the parts of a computer and how to plug all the cords in correctly. One by one they are demonstrating that they are able to unplug and plug a CPU, monitor, mouse and keyboard in correctly.
Each club period, a few patrols test their knowledge on our practice PC. We are keeping track of their mastered skills with the following chart. After completing the computer component skills they are moving on to creating a supportive lesson for their teachers on the SmartBoard and programing a short project on Scratch.
